 The first recorded scam was perpetrated many, many years ago.  

Not only was the first victim caught in the middle between the con artist and the final victim, but was blamed for everything from being gullible to getting everyone thrown out of Paradise.  Her only defense was that the snake seemed so nice and was very persuasive ...  Adam's only excuse is that he trusted Eve without asking any common sense questions.

    Nothing much has changed.  The snake is as charming as ever.  The prize has been changed from apple to bucks, but the bottom line is still the same.

    Con artists use your whole life as their canvas.  They tap into your every desire, and paint in some  you didn't even know you had.

    They use a mishmash of truths, half-truths, and outright lies to persuade you that they have the upper hand, and that you must follow wherever they lead.  They are the master, you are the slave.  If you start balking, they use threats.
