Check Processing Employment Scam Letter

from: Mr. Johnson, Grand Import and Export Company

NOTE: Neither "Mr. Johnson" nor "Paul John" is the real name of the scammer

Letter Source:  This letter appears to have been sent from Austin, Texas, using Pan Am Sat out of Ellenwood GA.  Is that possible?  That is was sent from somewhere in the US?  Absolutely.  There is no specific geographical location for the origin of these scams.  Additionally, the fraud cells usually have at least one member (if not the entire cell) in the same country as their targets.  The emails carrying the counterfeit checks, money orders, electronic checks generated from hacked online bank accounts and credit cards, and what are generically know as Qchex, are often sent from within the target's country of residence.
