Letter Source
Report: Now things are starting to heat up. The
counterfeit bank document below came from an IP in Nigeria. This is the contact
mentioned in the letter dated Feb. 27.
However, please note that the Time Zone on the email remains the same as on
all the emails coming from "Lawrence Smith." This email was not written in
Nigeria, it was only sent through a Nigerian email IP.
The counterfeit bank
document uses the actual letterhead of an existing European bank. This
means that the swindler in this case has now committed bank fraud on top of wire
fraud, conspiracy to defraud, and probably income tax evasion.
Once again, because
these letters are part of an on-going correspondence, it cannot be considered
Spam and cannot even be reported as scam mail.
