NEVER, EVER hand over originals without a receipt for each piece of paper! > Print your name, address, and telephone number on the front of the ORIGINALS envelope. > Make a copy of your Items of Proof List. This is your RECEIPT. > At the bottom of the receipt, add in "Names and Contacts List", "Chain of Events List." > Ask the officer or agent to put his name, badge number, phone number, date, and signature (in that order) at the top of the receipt. > As the agent or officer pulls each Item of Proof and List from the ORIGINALS envelope, have him put his initial next to the same item or list on the Receipt. > Place the receipt in safekeeping, preferably in a safe deposit box.
