Precious Metals Trading: 

: Trading in precious metals is a highly speculative industry.  As with CURRENCY TRADING, an investor in precious metals must be acutely aware of all events and world conditions affecting the value of the metals from day to day, or even from hour to hour.  Additionally, precious metals are available in different forms, such as powder or bars, and different grades of refinement.  Each form is affected differently by international market activity.

:  In the UNDERGROUND NETWORK phony trading in precious metals is a favorite pastime.   The most common metal trades attempted are in gold, with a smattering of platinum deals thrown in for good measure.

Gold deals, or transactions, are offered for bars, ore, and powder.  The bars are always offered in their purest form.  Ore and powder are supposedly available directly from the mines, and may have been refined to a certain extent.

This is frequently a Nigerian scam.
