Ex-Dominican president’s security chief to stand trial for money laundering

SANTO DOMINGO.- A National District Judge ordered retired colonel Pedro Julio (Pepe) Goico,  Belkis Ubrí Medrano, wife of ex-Dominican Army captain Quirino Paulino, and Ernesto B. Guevara (Maconi), to stand criminal trial for conspiracy, money laundering and drug trafficking.

Grand jury indicts Plano man with mail fraud and making false statements in used car sales

 

 

In addition, 5th Instruction  Court judge Natividad de los Santos he judge exonerated retired general Julio Rafael Molina, Ramon Vásquez Garcia, Angel Guillén Cuevas and Pedro Alberto Ubiera, excluding the Justice Ministry’s evidence against them for illegitimate.

The judge accepted the evidence against Pepe Goico -who was the  head of ex-president Hipolito Mejia's security detail- charged with concealing the legitimate proprietor of the Eurocopter Colibri helicopter, in violation of the law against Money Laundering. ...
